KOKOMO, Ind. -- A man who met with a detective he believed to be a 15-year-old girl for sex in August turned himself in to Kokomo police Friday afternoon after nearly three months on the run.A warrant was issued for the arrest of Mark Ellerbrock, 42, of Bluffton, on Aug. 29, after he solicited a police decoy posing as a girl in an Internet chat room and agreed to meet the "girl" on Kokomo's north side, said Lt. Don Whitehead.Detectives said Ellerbrock cooperated in their investigation and was released, but hadn't been seen since.
Ellerbrock's case was featured as the top story on the Web site of the television program "America's Most Wanted" on Wednesday, which Whitehead said he believed prompted Ellerbrock to turn himself in to officers just after noon on Friday.Ellerbrock is being held at the Howard County Jail on $10,000 bond.
