Prior to joining 6News, Renee worked at WISH-TV News 8 as a news reporter. In 2006, she won a Best in Indiana award in Criminal Justice reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists for her special report on jail overcrowding in Marion County.

A native of Muncie, Ind., Jameson graduated with honors from Ball State University in 1993 with a degree in Telecommunications and a minor in Political Science. During this time, she interned at WISH-TV and anchored the overnight newsbreaks.

Jameson began her broadcasting career as an anchor and reporter for WLIO in Lima, Ohio. She then moved to Tallahassee, Fla., where she anchored morning and noon newscasts for WCTV. Renee later joined WBIR in Knoxville, Tenn., as an anchor and reporter.

Renee's family still lives in central Indiana, and she is thankful to work in her home state.

Renee lives in Indianapolis with her son, Robbie.
