Shooting on Indy’s east side leaves 1 dead

INDIANAPOLIS — A person died in a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis on Monday evening.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 8700 block of E. Washington Street on reports of a person shot just after 6 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 35-year-old Anthony Rome Harlin Jr.
