Sheriff: Person dies in shooting in Greene County

LYONS, Ind. (WRTV) — Law enforcement is investigating a deadly shooting in Greene County that happened Thursday night.
According to a news release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, the shooting happened about 9:31 p.m. on State Road 59 South near County Road 200 South. That’s about 6 miles west of the town of Lyons, which is about a 110-minute drive southwest of downtown Indianapolis.
One person was shot and killed. Authorities have not released any additional details about the person who died or a possible suspect.
Officials said there is no risk to the public.
The investigation is ongoing.
