Part-time Multimedia Associate

We are seeking a motivated Multimedia Associate to join our Circle City Broadcasting team and gain hands-on experience across multiple divisions in our newsroom and production departments. This entry-level position is ideal for someone eager to learn the full scope of modern broadcast and digital operations. You’ll rotate through key areas, contribute to daily content creation, and support critical workflows that keep our news operation running smoothly.

Areas of focus and learning:

Production Division

  • Operate studio cameras during live and recorded newscasts
  • Run and prepare the teleprompter for talent during shows
  • Assist with audio board operations, including mic checks and sound mixing
  • Work with the Ross OverDrive automated production control system alongside directors
  •  Othe studios duties as assigned

Newsroom Division

  • Support the web desk with posting stories, updating headlines, and curating digital content
  • Edit video for broadcast and digital platforms under newsroom guidance
  • Contribute to podcast production, including research, basic editing, and content preparation

The ideal candidate will possess the following skill/experience:

  • Be a self-starter with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
  • Interest in journalism, broadcasting, digital media, and/or production
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Basic knowledge of video production, editing, or digital news is helpful but not required

Ideal qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in media or journalism is a plus
  • Familiarity with cameras, audio, or editing software is beneficial but training will be provided
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
