Hot and humid week with limited rain chances

INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) – A big dome of high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere keeps the weather pattern quiet across much of Indiana this week. This will produce some of the hottest air we’ve seen all season.

Look for sunshine, hot temperatures and high humidity. Heat index values will climb into the middle and upper 90s. There may be a stray shower possible in northern Indiana but most locations stay dry. Winds will be breezy out of the southwest and could gust near 15 mph.

Mild and muggy with mainly clear skies. Lows will be in the lower 70s.

Another hot and humid day with temperatures climbing into the middle 90s. Heat indices will be near 100. There is a very slim chance we may see an isolated shower in northern Indiana. Otherwise, look for sunny, hot and humid conditions.

The hottest air of the year will be on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Look for highs in the middle 90s.

Rain chances are possible for the end of the week and into the first part of the weekend. Temperatures drop into the 80s for the weekend.
