LIV Golf CEO hopes to bring tour back to Westfield next year
WESTFIELD, Ind. (WRTV) — Westfield is the place to be this weekend if you enjoy LIV Golf.
The season comes to an end at The Club at Chatham Hills, and it could be the last LIV Golf event ever, as the future of the league is up in the air.
Players met with LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil and LIV’s proposed new investor yesterday.
O’Neil hopes to bring the tournament back to Westfield next year if they have a season.
“I walked the course quite a bit the first two days, and it was a party,” O’Neil said. “The way we’ve been treated by the Henke family has been extraordinary. The government, the state has been really supportive as has the county. We would need some more corporate support, but that’s going to come over time. But this is a market we love quite a bit, and this course has been fantastic. I hope so.”
This is the second year that LIV Golf has played at The Club at Chatham Hills in Westfield.
