35 warrants served in Johnson County multi-agency drug sweep

JOHNSON COUNTY — Law enforcement agencies across Johnson County executed a coordinated drug warrant sweep Wednesday morning, targeting 35 suspects.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin Police Department led the operation, with assistance from the Bargersville, Edinburgh, and New Whiteland police departments, as well as the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Arrests were made in multiple locations across Johnson County and Indianapolis.

Three of the 35 individuals targeted in the sweep were already in custody before the operation began, according to the sheriff’s office.

The agencies involved have been working together for several years on drug investigations in the county. Johnson County Prosecutor Lance Hamner’s office is handling prosecution of the cases.

The investigation remains ongoing.

A press conference will be held Wednesday afternoon to provide additional details.
