INDIANAPOLIS -- A death investigation is underway after utility workers found a woman's body inside a home on Indianapolis' northwest side Wednesday evening.
The body was found shortly after 7 p.m. in the 2500 block of North Harding Street.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers say workers with Citizens Gas were called to the home for a service call in reference to a suspected gas leak. When they arrived on the scene they found the body of an unresponsive female inside the home.
The woman was identified as Kim Miller, 55.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives say the circumstances and cause of death were not immediately clear, but they are considering it a "suspicious" death.
The death remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and the Marion County Coroner.
