Indianapolis officials seek public's help after two intentionally set arson fires occur in one day

INDIANAPOLIS — Two intentionally set arson fires occurred on Wednesday morning at Oak Tree Apartments. The Indianapolis Fire Department and Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are seeking the public's assistance with tips in the case.

The fires happened in two different buildings, occurring only hours apart from one another. The first fire at 12:55 a.m. and the second fire at 11:36 a.m. at 4000 Post Road.

The Oak Tree Apartments are permanently closed and vacant.

According to IFD, the damages are at $300,000.
