INDIANAPOLIS -- Police arrested three teenagers early Tuesday morning after they allegedly attacked and stole a man's car on the north side.

The incident happened around midnight in the 2900 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street.

According to the police report, the victim, a 51-year-old man, told officers three juvenile males shot or broke out the windshield of his 2002 Pontiac Bonneville and then drove off with it.

The man told police he fled the scene in fear. He was not injured.

Police located the stolen vehicle and took three teens – a 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds – into custody a short time later.

The teens face preliminary charges of auto theft, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement and possession of marijuana.
