Grimes and Elon Musk welcomed a son into the world — and according to a tweet from Musk, the boy’s name is certainly unique.

Grimes, a Canadian singer whose real name is Claire Boucher, and the CEO of SpaceX welcomed their son on Monday. The couple has been dating since 2018.

Musk tweeted a photo of himself holding his baby son. When a Twitter user asked him what the boy’s name was, Musk said the couple had named their child X Æ A-12 Musk.

Always a provocateur on Twitter, it’s unclear if Musk was serious about the child’s name.

But one Twitter user suggested the child’s name could be pronounced X Ash Archangel — Æ is a character in the Scandanavian alphabet that carries the pronounciation Ash, and A-12 could refer to the codename for a Lockheed jetplane nicknamed Archangel.

The boy is Grimes’ first child. Musk has five sons — a set of twins and a set of triplets — from a previous marriage.
