NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – A man died following a motorcycle accident in Noblesville Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on Strawtown Avenue near Cyntheanne Road.
Kurtis Gwaltney, 26, of Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators said Gwaltney was wearing a helmet, but sustained severe trauma.
Detectives believe the motorcycle was driving eastbound when it left the south side of the roadway and lost control in a field. Gwaltney was ejected from the motorcycle.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team said they will continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
This is the third fatal motorcycle crash within one week.
