BOONE COUNTY, Ind. -- Many Hoosiers spend Friday night under the lights, but in Boone County, spectators also flock to the polo field.
For the past 20 years, Hickory Hall Polo Club has been hosting matches on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons, as the only outdoor polo club in the state.
The family-focused sporting events also raise money for a good cause.
Many of the matches raise money for a local charity and the events seem to be growing in popularity.
A match on Aug. 25th, 2017 raising money for IMPD sold out for the first time in Hickory Hall history.
Some other groups the polo matches have raised money for include Ball State Dance Marathon benefiting Riley Children's hospital, the Danville Band Program, and Best Buddies of Indiana.
There are only a few more weeks to catch a match this year.
The final match of the season is Sunday, October 1st.
For more information on the sport or location visit the Boone County Polo Club website.
