RICHMOND, Ind. -- Two Richmond High School students were taken into custody Monday after a gun was found in a student's car.
Carlos Cruz-Zuniga, 18, was arrested after the gun was found.
Administrators with the high school were notified that a student had a gun in their vehicle sometime Monday. A school resource officer confirmed there was a gun in the student's car, according to the Richmond Community Schools Facebook page.
Two students were taken into custody. One of them, Cruz-Zuniga, was arrested on a preliminary charge of having a firearm on school property.
