Two people shot in road rage incident on Indy's west side

INDIANAPOLIS—A shooting that police say began as a road rage incident sent two men to the hospital, late Tuesday morning.

Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the drivers of two cars pulled into the parking lot of an auto parts store on Lafayette Road and exchanged shots.

Both were rushed to a local hospital. Police said one person is in critical condition, the other is in stable condition.

Police say the drivers were upset with each other over something that happened on Lafayette Road.

They drove to the Auto Zone parking lot, south of West 30th Street, pulled out their guns and began firing.
