HENRY CO. — Police have two juveniles in custody after a high-speed chase that forced a brief school lockdown in Knightstown on Tuesday.

WRTV6 was told the chase began on I-70 in Hancock County around 9 a.m. The Henry County Sheriff's Department says a deputy using a license plate readers discovered a vehicle that had been reported stolen from Minnesota.

The vehicle refused to pull over and instead sped down State Road 40 into Henry County. This prompted Knightstown Schools to lock down their buildings briefly.

The two teens eventually tried to ditch the car and run in Rush County but were caught.

Deputies say they believe the two teens are runaways.
