INDIANAPOLIS -- Improvements have been made to two lactation stations at the Indiana State Fair to make it easier for breastfeeding moms to take care of their babies.

Because no sponsors stepped forward last year, the stations didn't have any supplies and little was done to let moms know where they were located.

The Indiana Breastfeeding Coalition, Metro Indy Lactation Coalition, The Milk Bank and Indiana Healthy Weight Indiana Initiative all stepped in this year to help.

The two lactation stations - one at the Red Cross next to Hooks Drug Store and another at the Public Safety Building - are stocked with water, diapers, wipes and a changing station.

There are signs at the fairgrounds to pointing out the locations of the lactation stations and they are also included in the State Fair app.

A reminder that breastfeeding moms can feed their children at any public place in Indiana.  The lactation stations offer an air conditioned location where moms can have some privacy.
