FORT PAYNE, AL. — An Indiana man has died after a swimming incident at Little River Canyon in Alabama.
Police say 23-year-old Austin Bates died while swimming near a waterfall at Little River Canyon, southwest of Chattanooga.
Bates is from Greentown, in Howard County.
Park rangers say Bates was caught in the waterfalls current, killing him.
Bates' death is the second in the park in about a week.
