92-year-old woman, dog killed in apartment fire on Indianapolis' south side

INDIANAPOLIS -- A 92-year-old woman and a dog were both killed in a fire on Indianapolis' south side Thursday evening. 

Firefighters were called to the apartment complex in the 4600 block of Glastonbury Court just before 6:30 p.m. 

Indianapolis Fire Department PIO Rita Reith said a 92-year-old woman and a poodle named Dawn were both killed in the fire. 

That woman has been identified as Lura Icenogle. 

The woman's 60-year-old daughter was also in the apartment at the time of the fire, but was able to get out safely. 

The fire remains under investigation.
