INDIANAPOLIS -- A security guard was seriously injured after she was shot during an attempted robbery at a business on Indianapolis' near-northside Thursday evening.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to Restaurant Depot just after 7 p.m.
When they arrived they found a female security guard that had been shot. The woman was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
Detectives say multiple suspects entered the business and attempted to commit a robbery before exchanging gunfire with an armed security guard.
The suspects then fled the scene.

Police have not made any arrests or released a description of the suspects.
