Indy on pothole patrol after rapid warm-up

Posted

INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis street crews were out in force Thursday working to patch-up potholes caused by the rapid rise in temperatures.

Warmer weather after three days below freezing this week caused cracks in some roadways to become gaping holes.

To combat them, the city of Indianapolis planned to target nearly 200 pot holes.

"Crews are out and taking care of any pothole that we may have seen, especially with the drop in the temperatures and now the rise," said DPW spokeswoman Jennifer Hashem.
