INDIANAPOLIS – Police arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a murder that took place one year ago.
Tafari Clay, 21, faces several charges, including murder, robbery and having a gun even though he was a felon. IMPD Sgt. Kendale Adams says Clay was taken into custody by the police department’s Gangs/Violent Crimes unit on Friday and charged over the weekend.
Clay is accused of killing Hilary Acton of Clayton in a shooting that took place June 1, 2015. Police believe Acton and her boyfriend were targeted by the suspects, whom Adams says intended to rob them on South East Street.
Clay is being held in the Marion County Jail awaiting his next scheduled court hearing.
