INDIANAPOLIS -- A man was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
The shooting occurred around 2:20 p.m. on the 3300 block of North Denny Street, just a few blocks east of Washington Park.
Officers arrived at a report of shots fired to find a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
He was later identified as Charles Jones Jr., 23.
Medical responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The cause of the shooting was unknown, but police were investigating it as a homicide.
