SHELBY COUNTY, Ind. -- Police in Shelby County have identified the remains of a woman who was reported missing in Columbus, Indiana.
The Shelby County Sheriff's Department received a report of human remains on Aug. 1.
Det. Captain David Tilford says those remains belong to Nicolle R. Olmstead. Olmstead was reported missing to the Columbus Police Department on July 12.
She was last seen on July 1 near the intersection of 8th and California streets in Columbus.
Olmstead's death is now being investigated by the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.
