BROWN COUNTY -- A man is recovering after deputies say he was beaten by his brother.
Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on Old Settlers Road around 8:30 Tuesday evening for a report of a man who had been shot.
When they got there they found the victim lying in the front yard with a head injury. He told deputies that his brother, Kenneth Guy, had hit him with something.
The victim was taken to CRH and then Methodist Hospital to be treated for his injuries where he is now listed as stable.
Deputies found Guy a short time later having a medical issue. He was taken to Bloomington Hospital to be treated for an unknown condition.
When he is released from the hospital, the sheriff’s office says Guy will be charged with attempted murder, criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and battery with moderate bodily injury.
The incident remains under investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
