Man killed in train, dump truck crash in Madison County

SUMMITVILLE — One person was killed Monday when a train struck a dump truck in Madison County, Indiana.

The crash happened at 11 a.m. at the crossing on Mill Street, just east of Main Street.

The dump truck driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck caught fire, destroying the cab. The driver has not been identified.

No further information was immediately available.
