INDIANAPOLIS — We're a little over a year away from the 2021 NBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis. But some organizations are already starting to see the benefits.

Thursday, the All-Star host committee announced a $1 million initiative, granting money to 21 projects across the state. Those projects will impact 18 Indiana counties.

Some of the groups that will receive grants are the Boys and Girls Club, the Hawthorne Community Center, Camp Jameson. Another grant was awarded to the L & A Park Foundation, where the money will go toward building a walking path surrounding the ball fields at Abby and Libby Memorial Park in Delphi.
