Very cold ground temperatures allowed snow to quickly cover untreated surfaces. Indianapolis reported .4″ of snow. Slick spots are likely through the overnight.
Skies will gradually clear and temps will tumble again into the teens by morning.
A brighter and slightly warmer day arrives Tuesday. A west wind around 10 mph will make it feel a bit colder.
Wednesday will be briefly and significantly warmer. A strong southwest wind will gust over 30 mph delivering the more comfortable temperatures. There’s a slight chance of a wintry mix.
As another blast of cold air arrives, snow showers are possible Wednesday night.
