INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Colts have hired Greg Williams as the new defensive backs coach.
According to a press release from the Colts, Williams has 13 years of coaching experience, including the last seven seasons with the San Diego Chargers as the team's assistant linebackers coach and assistant secondary coach.

Before working in San Diego, Williams worked as the secondary and defensive graduate assistant at the University of Pittsburgh.
He also spent two years with Arkansas Tech University coaching the defensive backs and serving as a recruiting coordinator.
Williams played wide receiver and defensive back at the University of North Carolina from 1994-97.
