CHRIS WAKEFIELD

Chris Wakefield is a member of Circle City Broadcasting’s Digital team, focusing on digital content for Business, Equity & Opportunities (BE&O), the company’s paid programming partners and historical content. An Indianapolis native, Chris has 20 years of experience in broadcasting and journalism.

Chris’s career in broadcasting and journalism began at Northwest High School, where he served as an anchor and special assignments reporter for WNHS News.

During college, Chris wrote for IUPUI Magazine and began studying Indianapolis history under the mentorship of local historians. He has since written history and business articles for several local and national outlets, including The Saturday Evening Post.

For the past 10 years, Chris has also published articles and essays about Indianapolis history for Circle City Talk. His interest in local history continues through his work researching and writing about the history of WISH-TV and Indianapolis.

When he’s not researching and writing about history, Chris enjoys traveling the world with his husband and two children.
