GREGG MONTGOMERY

Gregg Montgomery is a Senior Online Producer and Assignment Editor with Circle City Broadcasting, providing digital news coverage for WRTV and WISH-TV. He joined WISH-TV on May 15, 2017.

Gregg is a true Hoosier, born in Lafayette and now a Noblesville homeowner. He grew up on a farm in Alexandria that’s been in his family for more than 160 years.

He graduated from Alexandria-Monroe High School. He occasionally says, “Boiler up!” because of his days attending Purdue University. While in college, he worked for The Associated Press and The Indianapolis News as a stringer and was a staff writer for his hometown’s weekly newspaper during time off from Purdue.

One semester, Gregg took a public relations internship at Bader Rutter advertising agency in Milwaukee and traveled throughout the Midwest for Harley-Davidson Motor Co., AMC Theatres and the former Deutz-Allis farm equipment corporation.

Upon leaving West Lafayette, Gregg took a job with the former Noblesville Daily Ledger and Topics Newspapers, where he worked for more than a decade.

The Ledger/Topics was eventually purchased by the company that owns The Indianapolis Star, where Gregg also worked for a few years before moving to WISH-TV.
