TONY SANDLEBEN

Tony Sandleben is a Digital Content Producer with Circle City Broadcasting, providing digital news coverage for WRTV and WISH-TV. He joined Circle City Broadcasting in July 2026 and has professional experience in radio, television and print journalism.

A Fishers native, Tony began his journalism career in 2014 as a reporter for Indiana Public Radio in Muncie while attending Ball State University. After leaving Ball State in 2018, he joined WANE 15 in Fort Wayne as a multimedia journalist.

Tony later worked as a multimedia journalist at ABC57 in South Bend before leaving the news industry in 2021. In 2022, he was appointed director of communications for the city of Muncie. Later that year, Tony returned to journalism as the All Things Considered host at WBOI in Fort Wayne.

In 2024, Tony moved into print journalism as the local government reporter for The Journal Gazette in Fort Wayne, where he worked until joining Circle City Broadcasting in 2026. His current position marks his first role focused entirely on digital journalism.

Tony has contributed to journalistic storytelling about the meth crisis in Delaware County that was recognized by both chambers of the Indiana General Assembly. His journalism has also earned awards from the Hoosier State Press Association and Society of Professional Journalists.

Returning to Indianapolis gave Tony the opportunity to cover news in the market where he grew up, something he says he had long dreamed of doing.

Outside of work, Tony describes himself as a karaoke connoisseur and enjoys spending time with his dog, roommate and friends around town.
