Still cool for Saturday, turning hot and muggy for Sunday
INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies today with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s. We are still running a few degrees under seasonal normals.
TODAY: It will feel a touch more humid compared to the days prior. For the Pennzoil 250 today, expect temperatures around 80 for the green flag at 4 p.m.
TONIGHT: Quiet under partly cloudy skies. Possibly some patchy fog forms as winds go light. Lows tonight fall into the mid and upper 60s.
TOMORROW; We will start with a few clouds, but turn mostly sunny for the afternoon. A plume of wildfire smoke will likely drift in, but it should remain aloft. It will be toasty and muggy with temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s. For the Brickyard 400, expect a temperature around 90 degrees.
TOMORROW NIGHT: I am keeping the race dry, but there is a chance for storms Sunday night. There is still some uncertainty with these but if they are able to get going, some could be strong.
MONDAY: Very hot and muggy with highs in the mid 90s, likely feeling like the low to mid 100s. A capping inversion will be in place keeping things quiet, but models are indicating storms may get going in the evening. Some could be strong to severe.
7 DAY FORECAST: Still hot for Tuesday with temperatures in the low 90s. We will see temperatures fall back to the upper 80s by mid week with our next rain chance arriving on Friday
