Heat advisory issued as hottest air of the year moves into Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — Even though the calendar may say we are in one of the fall months we are going to experience one of the hottest air of the year. Highs this week will be in the middle 90s with heat indices into the triple digits. Limited rain chances until the end of the week and into the weekend.
TODAY:
A heat advisory goes into effect at 2 p.m. for all of Indiana. Mostly sunny skies today with highs climbing into the low and middle 90s. Heat indices or feels like temperatures will climb into the triple digits and may peak around 105.
TONIGHT:
No real relief from the heat at night. We stay mild and muggy with temperatures into the 70s.
TOMORROW:
Hot again Wednesday. Temperatures climb into the middle 90s. Feels like temperatures will be in the triple digits.
7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST:
The heat and high humidity continue through the end of the week. A few rain chances move into the state late Thursday and Friday. Temperatures drop back into the middle 80s for the weekend.
