Heat advisory issued for central Indiana as heat index could hit 105 degrees
INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — A heat advisory remains in effect across central Indiana from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. Heat index values could reach about 105 degrees.
Tonight, heat and humidity will linger with mostly clear skies. Overnight lows are expected in the low to mid-70s.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny, hot and humid. High temperatures will reach the mid-90s, while the heat index and feels-like temperatures will likely peak in the triple digits.
The hot pattern continues Thursday and into the end of the workweek. While rain chances are slim Thursday and Friday, Saturday brings a 40% chance of showers to the region. High temperatures will retreat to the mid-80s Sunday and into the start of next week.
