Heat and humidity to rise this weekend
INDIANAPOLIS (WRTV) — Heavy rain tapers off later this morning. A few scattered showers are possible. Spotty weekend storms may occur but the main weather story will be the high heat and humidity.
TODAY:
Heavy rainfall continues through the mid-morning hours. Rain turns to scattered showers later in the morning and into the early afternoon. It will be warm and humid with highs climbing into the middle and upper 80s. Feels like temperatures may approach the low and middle 90s.
TONIGHT:
A spotty shower may be possible overnight. Otherwise, it will be mild and muggy with lows near 70.
TOMORROW:
High heat and humidity will be the concern over the weekend. Highs reach 90 on Saturday with heat indices reaching 100 to 110. Be sure to use caution while outside for any extended period of time. Showers and storms may also be possible with a level 2 risk in place for the northeastern part of the state. Some of the storms may contain gusty winds and heavy rainfall.

High heat continues on Sunday with temperatures climbing near 90. Spotty showers and storms are also possible on Sunday.
It becomes less humid with highs in the lower 80s early next week.
