Firefighters battle Greenwood apartment fire
Firefighters responded to a two-alarm apartment fire on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in Greenwood. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and 24 apartments were damaged. The fire remains under investigation.
GREENWOOD — Firefighters responded to a two-alarm apartment fire in Greenwood on Wednesday morning.
The Greenwood Fire Department, White River Township Fire Department and emergency personnel were called to the Meridian Oaks Apartments on Main Street around 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The complex is on Main St. near S.R. 135.
Officials said it appears the fire started on the third floor.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to a Facebook post from the White River Township Fire Department. 24 units were damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
