3 former Brebeuf priests accused of sexually abusing minors have been named

INDIANAPOLIS – A list was released today with the names of Jesuits who have had allegations of sexual abuse of a minor. The list comprised by the Jesuits USA Midwest Province, had the names of three Catholic priests with ties to an Indianapolis school.

The three priests are all connected to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.

The dates of the allegations all range from the 1960’s through 1990.

One of the accused priests, Donald O’Shaughnessy, died in 2013. Another one, Michael Dorrler, remains a priest but is no longer in public ministry. While the third, Bernard P. Knoth, was laicized – meaning he was removed from the priesthood.
