MARION — A 78-year-old man was killed after his vehicle collided with a semi Monday evening.
Marion Police Department officers responded to the scene on East SR18 at the Flying J Truck Stop just before 8 p.m. for a report of a multi-vehicle accident.
Police say the 30-year-old semi driver told them he was traveling westbound on SR18 when a vehicle drove into his path. The collision sent the second vehicle, driven by 78-year-old Larry Plummer, into the path of a third vehicle.
Plummer was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi and the driver in the third vehicle were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the Marion Police Department.
