Two pedestrians hit, killed on highway in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Ind. — Two men were found dead in a Cass County road Tuesday evening.

Indiana State Police say the incident happened on US 35 just south of Walton around 6:30 p.m. 

The two men have been identified as Zachary Wines, 26, and Bryan Curry, 52. Preliminary evidence indicates the men were struck by a northbound vehicle, according to a release from ISP.

Investigators have yet to determine why they were in the road.

Two vehicles were found parked on the east side of US 35. Police believe Wines and Curry drove the vehicles. The engines were still running.
