INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police are looking for a suspect accused of assaulting another man with a Bible downtown Tuesday night.
The incident happened around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Greyhound bus station located at 350 S. Illinois Street.
According to a report documenting the incident, the victim told police an unknown male walked up to him and struck him in the head with a Bible.
The victim, 24-year-old Nicholas Adams, of Belmont, North Carolina, said the suspect then fled on foot. Adams sustained no visible injuries in the assault.
The suspect was described as a black male approximately 25 years old, standing between 5’4” – 5’6” tall and weighing around 140 pounds. He was reportedly bald and had a visible tattoo.
A review of IMPD incident reports found no other Bible-related assaults in the vicinity Tuesday evening.
