DE FOREST, WI -- An Indianapolis truck driver was arrested on multiple counts of OWI following a crash involving a school bus full of students in Wisconsin.

The collision happened just after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The school bus from a private Milwaukee-area school was taking kids to the Wisconsin Dells for a year-end field trip.

A mechanical issue forced the bus to pull over on the shoulder of the interstate. The bus was then rear-ended by a semi driven by Wayne Edward Murphy, 42, of Indianapolis, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

There were 33 people on the bus. 20 were hurt, including four students with serious injuries. None were considered life-threatening.

Murphy was arrested for five counts of OWI causing injury/great bodily harm according to the Columbia County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office.
