Ben Davis singing custodian thanks hurricane workers

INDIANAPOLIS -- You might call Susie Mask the “Singing Custodian of Ben Davis High School.”

Mask has been a custodian at the school for 18-years, and she also loves to sing.

She’s part of the praise and worship team at West Newton Youth and Worship Center.

One of Mask’s favorite hymns is “The Unseen Hand,” a perfect tune, she thought, for the thousands of hurricane victims in southern states and the emergency workers who are helping them.

“A lot of people there have lost everything they own and they will have to start over from scratch,“ she said.

With the help of the Ben Davis television station, Mask recorded her a capella version of The Unseen Hand.

Mask says the hymn has a simple message, “God is there to guide and protect us.”
