INDIANAPOLIS – Get ready for more sports and big crowds in Indy as the city was selected to host several upcoming NCAA Championship events.
Indianapolis was previously selected to host five sporting events from 2017 to 2022, but as of Tuesday, four more events will come to the city.
These championships include:

Division II Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at IU Natatorium, hosted by University of Indianapolis (2019)

Division I, II and III Women’s Rowing Championships, Indianapolis Rowing Center at Eagle Creek Park, hosted by Indiana University (2019)

Division I Men’s Basketball Regional at Lucas Oil Stadium, hosted by Horizon League and IUPUI (2020)

Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship at IU Natatorium, hosted by IUPUI (2020)
Of the 84 host sites finalized, 41 of them were granted to Indiana cities through the Indiana Sports Corp and Sports Indiana out of the 3,000 bid applications received.

Other Indiana cities selected as championship sites include Terre Haute, Shelbyville, Evansville, Fort Wayne, South Bend, Noblesville and Bloomington.
