INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis man was killed Thursday in a shooting on the west side.
The shooting happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of 11th Street and Sharon Avenue.
Emergency responders arrived to find an unidentified man suffering from a gunshot wound in the backyard of a home.
The man was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition.
Police said Thursday night the victim, identified as 24-year-old Devon Grice, of Indianapolis, had succumbed to his injuries.
