Seventy five years ago, the United States was forever changed by a brutal surprise attack on one of its naval bases.
The Japanese navy killed more than 2,000 Americans in its strike at Pearl Harbor, where 19 ships and 188 aircraft were destroyed by more than 350 bombers. It happened at 7:44 a.m. on Dec. 7, 1941.
The attack drew the United States to World War II.
