Singer Erykah Badu slammed Iggy Azalea at the 2015 Soul Train Awards by suggesting the Australian star's music is "not rap."
The On & On hitmaker served as the host of the annual ceremony, which was televised in America on Sunday (29Nov15), and during her opening monologue, Erykah pretended to call celebrities inviting them to the Las Vegas ceremony.
When she "called" the Fancy singer, Erykah said, "Uh yes? Who is this? Iggy Azalea? Yeah, hey. Oh no no no no, you can come, Because what you doin' is definitely not rap."
Over the past couple of years, Iggy has been the target of many artists who have debated the rapper's place in hip-hop and her attempts to tackle African-American culture issues in her songs.
