The wife of a former Geist-area money manager convicted of trying to fake his death in a Florida plane crash will be featured on a television show hours after her husband is expected to plead guilty to fraud charges.
Michelle Schrenker will appear on the Investigation Discovery channel series "Who the (Bleep) Did I Marry?"
She filed for divorce in late 2008, just weeks before the crash.
The episode set to air at 10 p.m. Wednesday. According to the synopsis provided by Discovery, Michelle Schrenker was "literally swept off her feet when she met the love of her life, Marcus Schrenker."
"She got a whole lot more than she bargained for. Michelle's high-flying husband was secretly spinning a web of lies and deceit," the synopsis read. "Not only did Marcus have a mistress on the side, but his investment firm had been swindling retirees out of hundreds of thousands of dollars."
Marcus Schrenker is to appear in court Wednesday. He faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to five securities fraud charges under a plea agreement with prosecutors in Hamilton County.
Authorities said Schrenker bilked investors of more than $1 million. He has already been sentenced on charges stemming from the plane crash.
