INDIANAPOLIS – An Irvington restaurant specializing in southern comfort foods closed their doors after two years to pursue other culinary ventures.
Chef Dan’s Indy, which was found at 5539 E. Washington Street, posted a message to their Facebook page announcing the immediate closing of their restaurant.
Chef Dan, who owns the restaurant, also operates the company’s food truck which has been serving the Indy community for the past few years.
Although the location is closing, Chef Dan will continue to offer catering and food truck services, which customers can learn about via their Facebook page.
He said he hopes to eventually open another restaurant in the Castleton area.
This is the second Irvington restaurant to close within the past month.
Bittersweet café, located just steps away from Chef Dan’s also closed its doors in mid-March after one year in business.
